This delicate pattern on the LibellaM. AOP 1/2 cycling jersey will elevate your sport style game.

Maloja, pronounced "mah-low-yah", is a high performance apparel brand specializing in products for cycling enthusiasts (across road and mountain biking and cyclocross) for both men and women. They also make gear for ski mountaineering and Nordic skiing because sometimes you simply need to strap on skis and go. Named for the sleepy village and steep slopes of the Swiss Engadin, Maloja was founded with a mission of celebrating the outdoor experience and providing stylish yet functional gear.

I've been testing one of their kits for summer my summer rides to the Bells, Ashcroft, beyond. I stopped counting at a dozen wears and washes, and the good news is both the jersey and shorts still look brand new.

The LibellaM. AOP 1/2 jersey ($99) has a refreshingly feminine cut and stand-up collar, three back pockets, and non-washout UV protection. It fits true to size and dries fast on sweaty rides. The siliconized waistband comes with the inspirational reminder that, "You are never lost on a bike."

As much as I like the jersey, the ChaterinaM. 1/2 ($159) cycling shorts are the ultimate bomb. They have a sleek fit (I went up one size), with a contoured, Polygiene pad, flattering waistband, and wide silicone strips at the leg ends. In addition to the fact that they really do fit like a dream and stay put for long haul rides, the all-over pattern is a refreshing change from my standard supply of "boring" black bike shorts.

Headquartered in Germany, the brand is currently distributed worldwide at bicycle and outdoor specialty retailers and online at www.malojaclothing.com.

The ChaterinaM. 1/2 shorts have a dreamy, compressive fit.
