Pathfinders Spread the Love 5K Run/Walk and Shopping Experience
Saturday race: 7:30 a.m. requested arrival, 8 a.m. start

This new 5K, beginning and ending at Rio Grande Park, benefits Pathfinders, the local nonprofit that supports those with cancer and other serious illnesses—as well as family and friends—through meal delivery, therapy, grief counseling, and more. Don’t run, or want to do even more to help Pathfinders? Shop or dine at a dozen participating businesses during both days, which will then donate a percentage of your spending to the organization; you can even turn the shopping into a team event. 17th Annual Downtown Aspen Arts Festival

Basalsa
5–9 p.m., Midland Spur and Lions Park, Basalt

Get festive at this community event. After a nine-year hiatus, the all-ages, bilingual dance party returns to downtown Basalt, with live music from Latin-infused Sontres y Orquesta (7 p.m.), a DJ from Denver spinning tunes, dance lessons for families and couples, food trucks, and a beer garden. Sunset Sessions: Writ Large
