Hiking to biking to fishing abound nearby, all with guides available. Several of Aspen’s most beautiful hikes set out from our doorstep: River Run Trail, starting at the historic Ashcroft Ghost Town (guided lunch and dinner hikes are available), and Cathedral Lake and American Lake trails, classic mountain hikes. Or pedal the scenic 12 miles from town—a favorite locals’ ride. The river and beaver ponds are full of trout, so bring your fishing gear. 

Enjoy food and drinks on the outdoor patio, in the bar, or in the dining room. All tables offer splendid mountain vistas to accompany meals like sautéed ruby red trout, Rocky Mountain elk bratwurst, healthy salads with seafood or quail, a grilled Caesar featured on the Food Network, or the trout melt and turkey decker sandwiches. For dinner, grilled buffalo tenderloin, fresh catch of the day, North American elk loin, and vegetarian specials please the most finicky palate. And there are great meals for kids!
