“Came for the winter, but stayed for the summer” is a true Aspen local’s mantra, and the summers in Aspen have only gotten better, and crowded, with ever more people and things to do. From June through September, locals and tourists alike flock to a variety of events, from casual fêtes to galas, each begging a different look. What once was the “Aspen casual” dress code has transformed into a display of fashion looks from around the world with, most importantly, different hats.

The Aspen Food & Wine Classic kicks off the summer season with an A-list crowd, so if you are lucky enough to score tickets, you’ll want to look your best. While walking from tastings to tents, sun hats are key. Sophisticated styles (with felted custom flat brims) in a white or beige palette can take you from day to night, and a straw sun hat is the perfect addition to any outfit.

Looking for the best place to debut your newest western look? The Snowmass Rodeo is not your average hoedown and not just any cowboy hat will do. Kemo Sabe western hats are a must—ideally with a matching cowboy boot—and turquoise jewelry adds a little sparkle or shine that helps you stand out in the crowd.

Rock and roll looks reign supreme at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, as do elevated felt hats with unique feathers and one-of-a-kind bands. Improvise like the musicians onstage and let your personality shine with a band tee and layered necklaces, accented with leather, fringe, and sequins to complete your fashion set.
