Our latest #AspenWeekendAgenda has plenty of free events to take advantage of, along with shows at Belly Up Aspen and an anniversary weekend of "40 Years of Laughter and Tears" performances from Aspen Community Theatre. We also recommend ducking into any one of the 13 spots in town offering special discounted dining deals this month. Happy off season and have fun out there, everyone!

Art Walk Basalt

Missed First Friday in Carbondale? Basalt does it differently for “ARTB2F,” a.k.a. Second Friday, with eight participants: Ann Korologos Gallery, The Art Base, The Art Base Annex Gallery, Basalt Regional Gallery, Colori, One of a Kind Jewelry, Tania Dibbs Studio and Gallery, and Toklat Gallery. 40 Years of Laughter and Tears

Celebrate the milestone anniversary showcase of Aspen Community Theatre, which has brought performance art and musical storytelling to stages in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1976.  Show-stopping musical numbers will be interwoven with stories from your favorite performers involved in productions over the years.

On the Rise: Penny & Sparrow
7:30 p.m., Wheeler Opera House
The Wheeler Opera House’s "On the Rise" series will conclude for the season with a performance by alternative country duo Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke, who formed their musical endeavor in 2011 after living as roommates at the University of Texas in Austin.

Comedy Night 
7–9 p.m., Marble Distilling Co., Carbondale
This monthly series welcomes headliner Nathan Lund, a Denver comedian who is a favorite at Comedy Works and has made cameos on Viceland's Flophouse and BBC2's Horizon. He has also appeared at Funny or Die’s Oddball Comedy Fest, Crom Comedy Festival, Savage Henry Fest, and the High Plains Comedy Festival. An encore performance is scheduled at the Sky Hotel in Aspen from 9:30–11 p.m. (no cover).
