Ullr Nights
5 p.m., Snowmass Mountain
Bundle up and ride the Snowmass gondola to some family-friendly snow play, including lift-served tubing ($34 per hour; reserve in advance), free ice skating, free snowshoe tours, snowbiking ($69 guided rides for ages 12 and up, free minibikes for younger kids), and climbing on a massive snow sculpture. Opening Reception of Incandenscence: Glass & Encaustic Works

Audi Power of Four Ski Mountaineering
6 a.m. start at Snowmass Mountain (professional), 8 a.m. start at Aspen Highlands (recreational)
This premier endurance race series utilizes the unique terrain of each of the four Aspen Snowmass mountains and tests the limits and skills of both elite and recreational athletes. Registration is closed, but keep an eye out for these racers on the slopes. aspensnowmass.com
