Frying Pan River Cleanup
8:30 a.m., Lyons Park

Lend a hand to clean up the banks in downtown Basalt of one of the country’s most beautiful rivers. Hosted by the Roaring Fork Conservancy, this community event includes a free breakfast and prizes for the rarest finds along a one-miles stretch of water. Free, roaringfork.org

Earth Day Celebration & Picnic
10 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Cozy Point Ranch
This annual community gathering honors Mother Earth with plenty of fun for the kids: a petting zoo with baby farm animals, art projects, yoga, live music, and more. BYO-picnic lunch. Free, aspen-tree.org

Earth Day at the Library
1–3 p.m., Pitkin County Library
Bring your own 2-liter clear pop bottle and learn how pollution effects our groundwater by building your own groundwater well (while supplies last) and enjoy a reading of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, giveaways, and more. Free, pitcolib.org

Climate & Science March
1–4 p.m., Paepcke Park
