In 1993, curator Richard Flood interviewed artists for an issue of Frieze, asking them to name their favorite movies. This spring’s movies are Jack Pierson’s selections, which kicks off with Grey Gardens (1975)—the unconventional documentary about the everyday lives of two reclusive, formerly upper-class women: a mother and daughter both named Edith Beale.
