37th Annual Town Cleanup Day
9 a.m.–1 p.m., Snowmass Village
Take a few hours off this morning to help keep the community beautiful. Meet at the Daly Lane Depot to receive area assignments, gloves, bags, and tickets for lunch (12 p.m. at Mountain Bayou), and prizes. This month’s First Friday kicks off summer with a new public art installation throughout town, opening receptions for “Correspondance” at the Launchpad and “Threw and Thru” at Carbondale Clay Center, and more. The recently announced Sunset Sessions series of performances kicks off with a concert by singer/songwriter Kevin Heinz in the newly renovated Wheeler bar lobby. Join Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Cub for its annual youth and family cycling ride (not a race!). Riders will start with registration, bike decorating, and breakfast at Triangle Park and head out (9 a.m.) to complete a six-mile out-and-back route on the Rio Grande Trail to Hooks Spur Road and Rock Bottom Ranch.
