Lead with Love

Halloween Book Club & Aspen’s Dark Side Ghost Tour
6 p.m., Pitkin County Library

This special edition of Aspen's Dark Side Ghost Tour through downtown meets at the Pitkin County Library this week and is followed by a discussion of the chilling book The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. Halloween Film: Edward Scissorhands
6 p.m., Wheeler Opera House

Aspen Film and the Wheeler Opera House co-present a special screening of Tim Burton’s 1990 dark romantic fantasy cult classic starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. Free, wheeleroperahouse.com

SIMO
8:30 p.m., The Temporary, Basalt

Hailing from Nashville, this psychedelic soul band is notable for having virtuoso guitarist JD Simo as its centerpiece and namesake. $9 (advance), $14 (day of), tacaw.org 

Sol Patrol
9:30 p.m., The Black Nugget, Carbondale

Guided Tour 
1 p.m., Aspen Art Museum

Drop-in for a spotlight tour of the latest exhibitions led by museum staff. Free, aspenartmuseum 

Thrill the World Zombie Dance Event
4 p.m., Carbondale Branch Library

Spectators and zombies alike are invited to be part of the international, worldwide synchronized dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Locally, community members have been participating in rehearsals to learn the dance at Coredination & Bonedale Ballet. Dancers of any age and skill are welcome to participate (arrive at 3:15 p.m.) and full makeup and zombie costumes are encouraged. Free, gcpld.org

Cemetery Tour
5 p.m., Ute Cemetery

Uncover tales from the grave on this 60-minute guided walk through Aspen’s first burial ground, the Ute Cemetery, which tells the story of the pioneers of “Ute City.” Hear about the lonely buffalo soldier and toast to the Scotsman. $25 (reservation required in advance), aspenwalkingtours.com

Halloween Dance Party with The Davenports

Halloween Skating Party
5 p.m., Aspen Ice Garden

Aspen Poets' Society 11th Anniversary Celebration
