Friday Morning Uphill Breakfast Club
8:45–10 a.m., Cliffhouse Restaurant, Buttermilk

New this year, uphill skiers are able to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant after hiking up the mountain every Friday. Children's Storytime

This Friday marks the official return of Explore Booksellers' popular weekly series, whose staff reads aloud from top kids titles and provides light snacks and an activity in-between books. Storytime is focused on ages 3 to 7. Free, explorebooksellers.com 

History Ski Tour
11 a.m. & 1 p.m., Aspen Mountain

Learn about the amazing mining and ski history lying literally beneath your feet as you tour Aspen Mountain with a long time local historian. Meets at Guest Services cabin below the gondola at the top. Free with lift ticket ($94), aspenhistory.org 

Ullr Nights
5–9 p.m., Snowmass

Bundle up and ride the Snowmass gondola ($10) to some family-friendly snow play, including the new Breathtaker mountain coaster and lift-served tubing ($49 for a two-hour activities pass to access both; reserve in advance), free ice skating, free snowshoe tours with a guide from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (6 and 7:30 p.m.), snowbiking ($72 guided rides for ages 12 and up, free minibikes for younger kids), and climbing and sliding on a massive snow sculpture. First Fat Friday Parade
5 p.m., Downtown Carbondale

Kick off Carbondale's First Friday on the corner of 2nd Street and Main Street Mardi Gras Style. Parade entries will be judged and a trophy will be awarded in two categories, Best Overall Entry and Most Creative. Awards will be given at a family-friendly presentation at 6 p.m. at Carbondale Beer Works.

Aspen Youth Center Family Feud
5:30 p.m., Hotel Jerome

The second annual Family feud Aspen is the awesome fundraising game show gala, where teams take the stage to win ultimate bragging rights while supporting Aspen Youth Center. Festivities begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction prior to the show. During the show, audience members will enjoy an intimate 3 course dinner, lively libations and an exciting live auction. First Friday Valley Visual Art Show & Local Film Feature
6–8 p.m, The Launchpad, Carbondale

Post-parade, head to The Launchpad for the 39th Valley Visual Art Show and screening of Silverline Valentine by local filmmaker Brandon McDuffey. This adaptation of the cerebral romance short story written by René Cousineau involved a crew not only from the Los Angeles and Denver area, but also from our very own Roaring Fork Valley including producers Maxwell Barbanell and Veronica Glass Walker, cinematographer Ian Morrison, music composer Lewis Hurrell, storyboard artist Carlos Peña, and Lead Actress Sophie Sakson. This event is not only to bring awareness to the film and the local artists that were involved, but will also be a "Spare Change" fundraiser to help with film festival submission fees. An Evening With Holly Bowling: The Music of Phish and the Grateful Dead
