Winter Bike to Work Day

Intrepid cyclists who hit the streets on Winter Bike to Work Day are invited to visit stations in Carbondale or Aspen that day for free coffee, snacks and swag, plus winter biking tips and RFTA bus schedules. The two Winter Bike to Work Day events are presented by RFTA, Garfield Clean Energy, City of Aspen, CLEER, Why Cycles and Defiant Pack. Winter Bike to Work Day is a global event. Free, rfta.com

Friday Morning Uphill Breakfast Club
8:45–10 a.m., Cliffhouse Restaurant, Buttermilk

New this year, uphill skiers are able to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant after hiking up the mountain every Friday. History Ski Tour
11 a.m. & 1 p.m., Aspen Mountain

Ullr Nights
5–9 p.m., Snowmass

Bundle up and ride the Snowmass gondola ($10) to some family-friendly snow play, including the new Breathtaker mountain coaster and lift-served tubing ($49 for a two-hour activities pass to access both; reserve in advance), free ice skating, free snowshoe tours with a guide from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (6 and 7:30 p.m.), snowbiking ($72 guided rides for ages 12 and up, free minibikes for younger kids), and climbing and sliding on a massive snow sculpture. Retro Film Series: Decades of Skiing Aspen/Snowmass

Join Aspen Historical Society for this new series that explore skiing’s illustrious past in the Aspen/Snowmass area featuring a wide range of vintage films from the AHS archives. Aspen Laugh Fest Open Mic Night

Family Workshop

These drop-in sessions are designed to provide children and adults an opportunity to explore the galleries and create works of art of their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together. Workshops begin in the Education Workshop, giving families choices for self-guided or Educator-led activities and art-making stations. Che Malambo

The powerhouse all-male Argentinian dance company excites audiences with their percussive dance and music spectacle. Malambo, a dynamic blend of precision footwork, rhythmic stomping, drumming and song, is at the heart of the gaucho (South American cowboy) tradition and is now thrilling audiences around the world with this new production created by renowned choreographer Gilles Brinas. Malambo began in the 17th century as competitive duels that tested skills of agility, strength and dexterity among the gaucho.
