Farmer’s Night Out

Dandelion Day weekend begins with Farmer's Night Out, an evening of education and connections between local agriculturalists and the community at large. Free

The second Friday of every month is when art lovers gather for an art walk in Basalt's historic downtown district. Stop by the Basalt Regional Library for Brenda English Manes' artist reception and display of watercolors, photography, and fine art jewelry from 5 p.m to 6 p.m. (refreshments will be served). And then venture to the Art Base for the opening reception of The Claudette Carter ARTmentors Annual Exhibition, featuring the works of three Roaring Fork Valley high school juniors. The School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet: Annual Ballet Recital

Together We Rise, a Cabaret

For their spring cabaret, Theatre Aspen School presents an evening of uplifting song and entertainment by local teens. The Black Box Theater will be set up with cabaret-style seating and a Mocktail Bar. Oddville, A Love Story

Aspen Parkrun
8 a.m., Aspen Recreation Center
Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course will follow the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continue over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then return. Family Workshop

Roaring Fork Conservancy Beginner Adult Fly Fishing Clinic
9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Coryell Ranch, Carbondale
You know you want to learn how! Join Roaring Fork Conservancy and Roaring Fork Valley Fly Fishing Club to learn the basics of fly fishing equipment, casting, aquatic insects, choice of flies, plus you'll get to "wet a line" in the afternoon. Dandelion Day
Parade at 10, Carbondale
The bawdy dandelion is Carbondale’s town flower. And 20 years ago, Carbondale residents got the town to stop spraying herbicide at parks and playgrounds. That has now grown into a festival to celebrate spring and sustainability, with a parade, more than 50 vendors, organic plants, live music and a beer tent. Free
Basalt High School Paint the Town/Run for Hope
