Aspen Valley Marathon

It's official—the race is on! Lace up to show Basalt some love at this point-to-point race . If 26.2 miles sounds like more than you want to tackle, there is a half-marathon from Woody Creek to Basalt and a 5K in Basalt. The route takes you from Aspen to Basalt over 26.2 scenic miles in this Boston Marathon qualifier; or run the half-marathon from Woody Creek to Basalt, or a 5K in Basalt. Aspen Parkrun

Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course will follow the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continue over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then return.
