Lead with Love's annual summit and Halloween festivities make for a lively weekend in the valley.

The Lead with Love Leadership Summit takes place this weekend at Aspen Meadows. 

Friday, October 26

Lead with Love Leadership Summit
7 a.m.–6:30 p.m., Aspen Meadows
Check the schedule for inspired discussions and presentations centered around the concepts of social impact and business for good, along with yoga, meditation, and nourishing food and refreshments. $200-$1,000, ileadwithlovesummit.org

Redstone Castle Tours
10:30 a.m., Redstone
Built in 1902 by robber baron, industrialist, and coal magnate John Cleveland Osgood, the castle still contains his cigar smoke, and other apparitions, some say. Find out for yourself on these 90-minute guided tours of the 42-room estate, which was used as a hunting retreat. $25 adults/$20 seniors/$10 youth, theredstonecastle.com

Museum educators host art making for seniors in the Roof Deck Sculpture Garden, with complimentary refreshments. Free, aspenartmuseum.org

Halloween Book Club
5:30 p.m., meet at Ute Cemetery
After convening at the cemetery, return to the library for an appropriately creepy potluck, book discussion, and costume contest. The book being discussed is Jar of Hearts, by Jennifer Hillier. Free; RSVP and reserve your copy of the book by emailing [email protected]  

Aspen Darkside Ghost Tour
8 p.m., historic downtown Aspen
The scent of pumpkin spice wafts through the air, and the leaves are in their last phase of changing colors, so get in the spooky spirit on a 60-minute walking tour that shares true stories of ghosts, murder, and mayhem dating back to 1879. Rock 'n' Roast: Halloween Bash with the Posers
8 p.m., The Temporary, Basalt
Support Growing Years School, Mt. Sopris Montessori, and the Children’s Rocky Mountain School at this fundraiser that includes a wine toss, a drawing for $1,000, a cash bar, desserts, and coffee. Costumes are encouraged, of course. $30, tacaw.org

Aspen Parkrun 
8 a.m., Aspen Recreation Center
Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course follows the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continues over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then returns. Parkrun is an international movement that encourages communities to sponsor free runs open to all. Free, parkrun.us/aspen

Play-Ground Theatre's Halloween Show
3 p.m., The Temporary, Basalt
This interactive show for kids and families features live music, sketch-comedy skits, and puppets, all organized around the theme of having a blast while staying safe on All Hallow's Eve. Basalt Police Officers will be on hand to give away reflectors, glow sticks, and other goodies after the show. Costumes are strongly encouraged. $7 in advance/$9 day of show, tacaw.org

Thrill the World: Zombie Dance Event
4 p.m., Carbondale Branch Library
Join thousands of others around the world for this annual global celebration of Halloween and Michael Jackson. Presented in partnership with Coredination and Bonedale Ballet, local zombies, who have been rehearsing until the wee hours, will perform a choreographed group dance to Jackson's iconic song Thriller. Dean Weiler will delight and enlighten you with his stories of Aspen's early residents. 

Cemetery Tour: Walk with the Dead
5:30 p.m., Ute Cemetery
During this guided walk through Aspen's first burial ground, you'll hear tales about the pioneers of Ute City, including the lonely buffalo soldier and a toast to the Scotsman. $35 adults/$25 children, aspenwalkingtours.com     

Call of the Wild: Illustrated Edition
5:30 p.m., Wheeler Opera House
Become immersed in Jack London's legendary tale of Buck, the canine who was kidnapped from his California home and sent to Alaska to work as a sled dog during the Klondike Gold Rush. The show uses a 180-degree projection screen that surrounds the performer and features classic illustrations from the book, historic photographs, and drawings and animations. Free, wheeleroperahouse.com

Second Annual Dance Your A** Off Halloween Bash
8 p.m., The Temporary, Basalt
