This annual slopeside celebration, which kicks off Thursday evening with an opening party at Hao House, takes your average bar crawl up a notch or three, with an entire weekend dedicated to all things après and craft spirits. The Taste of Après Experience—follow the banners to samplings and seminars around Aspen and on the mountain—is free. Other returning events include the free Après Temperance Society ski race on Aspen Mountain’s NASTAR course (Sunday, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.) and the Great Après-Ski Pub Crawl and Cocktail Competition at 13 venues around town (Sunday, 2–6 p.m., $50). apresskicocktailclassic.com

Aspen High School and Middle School’s annual spring musical brings everybody’s favorite eternal child and friends to the local stage. For this full-blown production, the school theater department even brought in a Las Vegas–based company to help young performers with theatrical flying—expect to be dazzled. This double-bill weekend of the Aspen Skiing Company’s longtime concert series presents two popular performers in downtown Aspen: Montreal-based Chromeo, known for its upbeat dance pop, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band, which plays an irresistibly buoyant mix of funky, groovy tunes led by a master of the pedal steel guitar. The Temporary has turned into welcome local venue for comedy, and the latest headliner has been a staff writer for The Late, Late Show with James Corden, among other broadcasts, as well as a frequent performer on TV and podcasts, and at festivals around the world. Just the other day she Tweeted, “To improve my productivity I have been training myself to go to bed early and wake up early and now I am a very accomplished nerd who can’t go to parties.” So go cheer her on and help her stay up past bedtime. Team up with a friend(s) and use your smartphones to navigate this scavenger hunt across all four ski areas—from Aspen Mountain to Snowmass—racking up points along the way to win sweet prizes like a pair of skis, ski apparel, or a Rylo camera. One hunt uses beginner to intermediate terrain, the other covers intermediate to expert terrain; ride the bus from mountain to mountain.
