Friday, March 22

International Ocean Film Tour

Aspen hosts the North American premiere of this compilation of environmentally minded and adventure-focused short films, including a profile of a woman who mixes free diving and dance, a look at great reef sharks in the South Pacific, and a journey around the world with two music fans who become known as the “Sailing Conductors.” Tickets $15, wheeleroperahouse.com

Saturday, March 23

Marc Maron

Though he may be best known for his podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, the dark-edged comedian has performed for more than 20 years, including stand-up, frequent appearances on Letterman and Conan, on his eponymous scripted TV show, and, currently, as the star of the Netflix series Glow. Budlight Hi-Fi Concert Series: Snakehips
6:30 p.m., Aspen Gondola Plaza

Vets of festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella, the British EDM duo first made sonic waves a few years ago with the single “All My Friends.” If you skew young in age or spirit, you’ll be all over this show. Free, aspensnowmass.com

Toubab Krewe
8 p.m., The Temporary, Basalt

With a blend of rock, African influences, jam-band style, international folk, and more, this quintet out of Asheville, North Carolina, promises an evening of toe-tapping tunes. Tickets $17 (advance), $22 (day of), tacaw.org

Sunday, March 24

Winter Stargazing
6:30–9 p.m., Catto Center at Toklat

The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies hosts this evening of high-elevation celestial discovery at its facility in the Castle Creek valley. A local astronomer will give a talk on the constellations you may spot, followed by a naturalist-led snowshoe walk through the nearby aspens. Warm up afterward with chili and cornbread, plus hot chocolate and tea, then end the evening around the snowy campfire. aspennature.org
