As soon as the leaves stop falling in October, many a local restaurateur hang “Gone to the beach” signs on their doors signaling an bi-annual, well-deserved break before the winter season starts.

Now that we’re nearing slow season in the high country, it’s usually a guessing game when trying to find a place to eat and drink. There’s plenty of spots that stay open in town, many showing their appreciation for local clientele with deep discounts. The pickings are way slimmer in Snowmass though with only Crepe N' Juice, Mountain Bayou, Slopeside Lanes, Starbucks, Taster’s Pizza, Westin Snowmass, and Zane's Tavern open until the lifts start spinning on November 23.
