The tasting room's bar was sourced from the quarry in the nearby town of Marble.

Since launching in 2015, the Marble Distilling Company has racked up awards for its vodka—filtered through the distillery’s namesake stone—and ginger and espresso-tinged spirits, as well as environmentally conscious production methods. Moreover, the rustic-chic tasting room, anchored by a nine-ton marble bar, helped enliven Carbondale’s nightlife, with live music and comedy performances.

In January, the 2017 Colorado Liqueur Distillery of the Year brought that winning formula to downtown's Hyatt Grand Aspen hotel, marble bar and all. Order up a cocktail (try a hot toddy with the just-released Hoover’s Revenge Ragged Mountain Rye) or bottle service. The ultimate indulgence? Join the barrel club to receive your personal 11-liter oak cask filled with whiskey or bourbon, which you can sample—and keep an eye on through glass-fronted display shelves—as it ages.
