Pardon the humblebrag … but the Western Publishing Association awarded Aspen Sojourner with a 2017 Maggie Award for Best Overall Publication Design for our summer 2016 issue! On April 28, publishing professionals from 24 states were honored for excellence in print and electronic media across 100 categories at the prestigious, annual banquet in Los Angeles.

Aspen Sojourner was also a finalist in the following categories: Best Quarterly Publication; Best Regularly Featured Department, Section, or Column; Best Web Publication; and Best Use of Social Media.

Commissioned by illustration artist Nicole Licht for Snyder New York, the “Summer in Bloom” cover perfectly encapsulated the "Definitive Summer Culture Guide from A to Z” feature package. Other issue highlights included "Fertile Imagination"; "Talk of the Town"; and "Get Graphic."

The award marks Aspen Sojourner's sixth win in the past 10 years. Our parent company, SagaCity Media, also took home Maggie Awards for Best Semi-Annual Publication (Colorado Summit) and Best Visitor's Guide (Washington State Visitor's Guide).
