Knuckle draggers, pay homage: This ski industry innovator—who as Aspen Skiing Company COO in 2001 convinced the resort to lift its snowboard ban then, as CEO at Crested Butte, introduced “ski-free” programs and founded that resort’s adaptive program—was inducted into the 2023 Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame.

Cooking the feast, of course, is the freshly appointed executive chef of Alpin Room midmountain on Snowmass. The former executive sous chef at Aspen Highlands’ Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro (who once helmed Jimmy’s, and the cannabis counter at Dalwhinnie Farms dispensary) and tattooed Food Network veteran (2021 Chopped 420 champion; Beat Bobby Flay 2022 contestant) riffs on Alsatian comfort dishes to beat the chill.
