Basalt and the midvalley have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from the community. Now we invite you to see for yourself how the midvalley is doing. Enjoy a meal at one of our restaurants, browse our shops, and walk (or bike) down the street of Downtown Basalt, Willits, and El Jebel.

This summer is filled with events:

Basalt Sunday Market – every Sunday
Sundays are the perfect day to venture to Basalt. Visit the Basalt Sunday Market (every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., through September 30) and enjoy live music while chatting with local farmers and artisans. Go shopping, then relax over brunch at one of the many restaurants in Downtown Basalt, Willits and El Jebel.

Basalt Summer Concert Series – Wednesdays
The long-standing concert series is back this summer, with acts ranging the spectrum of music genres.

7/18: Jared & the Mill – Acoustic Americana and Indie Folk Rock| Triangle Park • Willits

7/25: Keenan Date – Country | Lions Park • Downtown Basalt

8/1: Poser – Classic Rock covers | Lions Park • Downtown Basalt

8/8: Annual Starwood Reunion – the legendary Aspen band | Lions Park • Downtown Basalt

Movies In The Park – Saturday, July 21 and Saturday, August 4
Enjoy an immersive evening where Disney Pixar’s Coco comes to life in Lions Park in Downtown Basalt. Before the movie, celebrate with live music, dancing, piñatas, alebrijes coloring, face-painting, special food and drink, a Dia De Los Muertos altar and raffle for a hand-painted Mexican guitar! Pre-movie activities begin at 7 p.m., and the movie will start once it is dark (around 8:45 p.m.). Folding chairs, Picnic dinners, blankets, small umbrellas, flashlights and maybe a jacket are recommended. The event is free, and concessions will be available for purchase.

On Saturday, August 4 the Movies In The Park Series continues with Wonder Woman on the big screen. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie will start after it is dark (around 8:30 p.m.).

BTalks – Thursday, August 9
A series modeled after TED Talks, BTalks connects mid-valley residents around inspiring ideas and conversations through short ‘community confluence’ conversations. Free beer, wine, and food are offered. August’s event is focused on the arts and will feature Nancy Lovendahl, Bear Matthews, Nina Gabianelli, and Glenn H. Smith. Join us on August 9 at The Temporary.
