What is The Hive?
The Hive is a locally owned and operated jewelry store that carries curated pieces made by female goldsmiths and women designers from around the US. It is the home of the Golden Aspen leaf pendant—our “signature piece.” A lot of my clients are just like me and like to buy something memorable during their trips.

Why did you name it The Hive?
When I found out that my previous job was ending, I was contemplating leaving Aspen. And then, suddenly, all these strong, powerful, intelligent women started building me up and encouraging me to start my own business. Their support was empowering. That’s when the name came from—female bees build the hive.

When did your love of jewelry start?
I have loved jewelry since I was a little girl. I remember my mother shopping in the same brick and mortar that my own store is now in. (Talk about full circle!) For every milestone my parents would buy my sister and me a special piece of jewelry that I still wear today. I want to keep those traditions alive. Jewelry is special; its personal and has a story. I love contributing to the story.
