Born in Switzerland, Thomas loved cooking from an early age and apprenticed at the five-star Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich. After completing 25 weeks of Swiss Army training, he worked in St Moritz and Saas Fee while attending Food and Beverage Management School in Thun. In 1986, Thomas moved to Aspen and worked at the Golden Horn, the Italian Caviar, and co-owned the Wienerstube. From 2000 to 2004, he was executive chef at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction. Since then, he has proudly served Conundrum Catering as executive chef for 25 years, working events nationwide, including the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA. He has also supported the Aspen Food and Wine Festival and the Shining Stars Foundation for the last 20 years. In his free time, Thomas enjoys golfing, walking his Bernese mountain dog, Buddy, and traveling the world, especially visiting family in Switzerland.
