A peek inside the Outdoor Voices boutique in Nolita.

There seems no end to the trend of athleisure/active wear in Aspen (or anywhere), and the latest such retail outlet to pop up locally is Outdoor Voices, which has set up shop through September 15. Founded four years ago by Boulder native Tyler Haney, when she was just 24, the brand is all about #DoingThings (its official hashtag) in its technically designed men’s and women’s apparel for outdoor recreation, fitness, and yoga.

OV’s Athena Crop ($50) and Warm-up Legging ($80)

And doing them all in style. An instant celebrity and cult favorite (remember that Lena Dunham running scene on Girls?) for its collaborations with the likes of A.P.C., Man Repeller, and J. Crew while drawing inspiration from artists like Nathalie Du Pasquier, OV apparel is high performance with a high brow aesthetic. Along with the same minimalistic meets outdoorsy interior of its boutiques in NYC, Austin, and Dallas, the hip space offers the components of the new women’s Aspen Kit—seven styles of interchangeable leggings and tops—in limited-edition hunter green

Designed by Will Fox at Mcguire Moorman, OV says its pop-up is "an ode to outdoor adventure" with earthy elements like vintage Knoll fabrics and raw rock matched with contemporary materials like Douglas fir plywood. And they've brought plenty of  the outdoors in—complete with tented fitting rooms to inspire your inner camper.

Our prediction: you’ll be seeing OV’s pieces just as much at outdoor cafés around town this summer as on the trail. 625 Hyman Ave., outdoorvoices.com

Outdoor Voices opens Friday, July 21. After you gear up, keep the celebration spinning at OV x CycleBar 14er Fridays (5:45 p.m.)—a $14 cash only hip-hop class followed by $6 margaritas at Mi Chola. 117 S. Spring St., aspen.cyclebar.com

Updated September 20, 2017:

The Aspen Times reports Outdoor Voices will maintain its Aspen presence for at least another year, extending its lease to remain at its 625 E. Hyman Ave. through September 2018. Haney told the Aspen Times in August, "Aspen was a record-setter for us in terms of engagement and revenue. It's pretty incredible."
