Fun is free (or at least refreshingly reasonable) when it comes to events at the Belly Up, Aspen Recreation Center, and The Temporary this weekend. A word of warning: unless you are already one of the fortunate ticket holders for Lost in Time presented by Aspen Country Day School at the Wheeler Opera House on Friday or Saturday, both shows are sold out.
Friday, April 27
Lululemon Happy Hour
4 p.m., Marble Bar Aspen
Marble Bar is celebrating a year of Mind, Body & Spirits with a Lululemon Happy Hour, featuring $6 local, sustainably made, craft cocktails to kick start your weekend. Free to attend, marbledistilling.com
40oz to Freedom
10 p.m., Belly Up Aspen
The popular Sublime cover band from San Diego returns with its laid-back, California vibe featuring soulful vocals and guitar riffs across a variety of genres, including ska and reggae. Doors open at 9:30 with no cover until 10 p.m. ($5 cover after 10 p.m.), bellyupaspen.com
Saturday, April 28
Aspen Parkrun
8 a.m., Aspen Recreation Center
Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course will follow the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continue over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then return. Parkrun is an international movement that encourages communities to sponsor free runs open to all. Free, parkrun.us/aspen
Guided Tour
1 p.m., Aspen Art Museum
Drop in for a spotlight tour of the latest exhibitions led by museum staff. Free, aspenartmuseum.org
Lululemon Trunk Show
1 p.m., Marble Distilling Co., Carbondale
Shopping and cocktails come together at a trunk show of Lululemon’s spring line at the distillery’s tasting room. Free to attend, marbledistilling.com
Caitlin Gill
8 p.m. The Temporary, Basalt
This L.A.-based comedian will bring plenty of laughs to Basalt. Besides her national comedy club appearances, Gill regularly appears on several podcasts, writes, and performs for Flophouse on Viceland, at the Oddball Comedy Tour, Outside Lands Festival, SF Sketchfest, and Bridgetown Comedy Festival. She also appears weekly at the Hollywood Improv Lab, hosting Crabapples with Bobcat Goldthwait. Tickets $19 in advance, $23 day of the show, tacaw.org
South of France
9 p.m., Belly Up Aspen
Based out of Denver and L.A., this indie-pop band featuring male and female vocals just wrapped up a new album and, according to its Facebook page, is “coming out of hibernation” to play this free show in Aspen. Doors open at 8:30, no cover, bellyupaspen.com

Science Sunday with Aspen Science Center
