3rd Annual Wild West Fermentation Fest
5 p.m., Two Rivers Park, Glenwood Springs

Aspen Chamber Symphony plays Beethoven, Schumann & Edgar Meyer
6 p.m., Benedict Music Tent
Hugh Wolff leads the Aspen Chamber Symphony in Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Schumann's tender and Piano Concerto with Conrad Tao, and a recent work for orchestra by double bass player and AMFS faculty member Edgar Meyer. $82, aspenmusicfestival.com (Local tip: The dress rehearsal at 9:30 a.m. only costs $20!)

JAS Cafe Presents: Laila Baili

Independence Run & Hike Fast Mile and Springers' Community Track Meet
7:30 a.m., Glenwood Springs High School
This is your chance to participate in the first running of this community track meet to benefit the Glenwood Springers’ Youth Track Club. There are even cash prizes! $5-$15, glenwoodspringers.club

Aspen Parkrun 
8 a.m., Aspen Recreation Center
Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course will follow the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continue over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then return. Parkrun is an international movement that encourages communities to sponsor free runs open to all. Free, parkrun.us/aspen 

Opera Scenes Master Class

The Hits Reimagined

Walking Tour to the Tent
2 p.m., Hotel Jerome
Knowledgeable guides lead the way from the Hotel Jerome to the Benedict Music Tent sharing interesting local stories along the way. Tours are timed to arrive at the Tent 30 minutes prior to concerts. Free, aspenmusicfestival.com

Aspen Festival Orchestra plays Beethoven and Shostakovich
4 p.m., Benedict Music Tent
Conducted by AMFS Music Director Robert Spano, pianist Yuja Wang presents a performance of Beethoven's First Piano Concerto followed by "Leningrad" Symphony by Shostakovich. $85, aspenmusicfestival.com

Itzhak
