The Trashmasters 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the Snowmass Club Golf Course on Friday. 

Friday, July 20

Snowmass Doubles Volleyball Tournament
8 a.m., Snowmass Recreation Center
Cheer on more than 200 women’s, men’s, and coed teams throughout the weekend, as they vie on both sand and grass courts in this annual tourney from Volleyball of the Rockies. Free, snowmassdoubles.com

Trashmasters Charity Golf Tournament

This annual fundraiser, going strong at 26 years upends the rules of golf, all in good fun and to benefit the Trashmasters college scholarship fund for local students. Minimum of $750 per player, trashmasters.com 

Basalt Handicap Tournament

Frozen, A Musical Performance

Artist’s Talk: Anicka Yi

Aspen Chamber Symphony

See conductor Alexander Shelley and violist Lawrence Power work together with the Aspen Chamber Symphony on the evening's concert, which includes music by Bartók, Salonen, and Schumann. Our Town, Opening Night presented by Theatre Aspen

Saturday, July 21

Aspen Parkrun 
8 a.m., Aspen Recreation Center
Every Saturday, the Aspen Recreation department hosts weekly 5K timed runs. The course will follow the High School Trail through the school district to the Marolt Open Space, continue over the Castle Creek foot bridge, and then return. Parkrun is an international movement that encourages communities to sponsor free runs open to all. Free, parkrun.us/aspen  

From July 18–22 experience the artistic spirituality of the Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery as they create a temporary mandala sand painting at the Aspen Art Museum. 

Mandala Sand Painting: Guided Meditation
9 a.m., Level 3 of the Aspen Art Museum
From July 18–22, Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a temporary mandala sand painting at the Aspen Art Museum as part of their annual visit to Aspen. Visitors are invited to watch the creation of this temporal artwork during regular museum hours, and to join for a guided meditation session. Free, aspenartmuseum.org  

History Hike: Aspen Mountain
9 a.m., meet at Koch Lumber Park
Explore the once-rich silver deposits on Aspen's eponymous hill, a maze of tunnels and former mines, on this hike that will ascend to the top of Little Nell (outside the Compromise Mine) and back down, with stops at mining remnants along the way! Opera Scenes Master Class

Godspell

Music on the Mountain

Deaf Camp Benefit

This concert supporting the Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing takes you back to the early ’90s with the Spin Doctors, plus a special appearance by Mandy Harvey, who last year earned a coveted golden buzzer from Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent. Theatre Aspen: Triple Threat Workshop Cabaret

Walking Tour to the Tent

Mandala Sand Painting: Closing Ceremony

From July 18–22, Tibetan Buddhist monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct a temporary mandala sand painting on Level 3 of the Aspen Art Museum as part of their annual visit to Aspen. Aspen Festival Orchestra
