After 18 years dedicated to the town of Aspen, Cynthia Jankowski created her own hive. Named in the spirit of all the strong women who have continually supported and encouraged her forward, The Aspen Hive opened its doors on June 1, 2022. The Hive won Best of Aspen in 2022 and 2023.

Visitors and locals gather at The Hive. With over a decade of experience in the jewelry industry, Cynthia has curated a truly special collection by traveling the US and developing relationships with female goldsmiths and designers. “I want to know their story and connect with them; jewelry is personal,” Jankowski says. The Hive also hosts events that bring locals together.

Although the business is new, the space has housed a jewelry store for over 50 years. “My mom shopped in this exact store when I was a little girl, and the fact that it has come full circle is unreal.” Keeping the “mom and pop shop” alive is something Jankowski wanted to do for years, just with her own twist. “We are all looking for that different piece that reminds us of a special trip or milestone in our life.”
