Shelly Hamill and Laurent Kosinski

The Keller Prize is an annual art contest founded in 2022 by Shelly Hamill, an artist herself. It is named after Jane Keller, Shelly’s grandmother, a landscape painter in Texas known for her depictions of the Texas state flower, the bluebonnet. The Keller Prize is open to artists both nationally and internationally and accepts submissions in a variety of mediums.

This year’s contest judge is Laurent Kosinski, who moved to Aspen in 1978 after a camping trip to the area. He came for one winter and has been in Aspen ever since. Laurent has been with three different galleries in Aspen and joined Casterline-Goodman in 2022. Although he’s seen many changes in the past 45 years, one constant has been Aspen’s vibrant art scene.

The Keller Prize will be awarded to a Grand Prize winner and two runners-up to be featured in a two-page spread in the January 2025 Architectural Digest AD100 issue, in the Dallas and Manhattan markets. Every artist who submits an entry will be shown on The Keller Prize website gallery and on social media.
