At WindWalkers, bringing horses together with children and adults who have physical, mental, or emotional disorders has had startling results. Individuals with challenges often struggle, but put them on a horse and a whole new world can open up!

For those who participate in equine-assisted activities and therapies, it seems more like fun than therapy. Benefits include improved balance, muscle strength, self-confidence, interpersonal skills, and flexibility—both physically and emotionally!

Since 2005, WindWalkers has served the needs of those with challenges in the Roaring Fork Valley. We are committed to improving the physical well-being, behavioral development, and emotional health of clients, families, and the communities we serve. Often, students enjoy an independence they never thought would be available to them. While on the horse, it’s freeing and the horse lifts the rider up, creating a sense of confidence that carries them forward into the world.
