Cynthia, it looks like you’ve created something the ski industry has never seen before. What is it and how did you come up with the idea?

It is a device that fits inside your vehicle to transport your skis and poles. It is called the interior ski mount (ISM). The patented ISM fits securely in place and can hold up to five pairs of skis and their poles.

I ski all the mountains here in Aspen and travel to other ski areas across the state. I couldn’t stand how my skis and poles would scatter all over the back of my car and I was tired of the rattling noise. The final straw was when my friend did not shut my trunk, and her skis flew out as we went over a speed bump.

I went online to buy a device to hold my skis and there was nothing on the market. So I decided to create my own. My patented ISM was the only solution.

How does the ISM work?

It is quite effortless. Simply fold down one of your rear back seats and place the ISM on the carpet of your seat back. Have you come up with solutions to other common problems?
